Humanity is dying in Corona, black market is taking place: Supreme Court

The decision not to provide assistance to Koro was taken under the leadership of Modi? : Question of the Supreme

Our priority is to save the people from the Koro epidemic, no decision has been taken about the current assistance: Center

New Delhi: Petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court seeking Rs 4 lakh assistance to the families of those who died due to the corona virus. During the hearing, the Center said that we do not have the money to pay such compensation.

The matter came up for hearing on Monday in which the apex court questioned the Center on whether the decision not to provide assistance was taken by the NDMA led by PM Modi.

The apex court also asked the central government to come up with a uniform compensation scheme to address any grievances of the beneficiaries and to consider a grant of Rs 4 lakh to the families of those who died from corona.

The central government on Monday said that our priority is to save the people from the Koro epidemic and not to provide financial assistance to the families of the deceased. The Center also claimed that we do not have enough money to help such a family.

A bench of Supreme Court Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice MR Shah later told Solicitor General Tushah Mehta, appearing on behalf of the Center, that you (Center) were making such an explanation as the Center did not have the money.

However, giving such an argument would have a detrimental effect on the business. Two petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court seeking Rs 4 lakh assistance to the family of the deceased who died due to corona. The Supreme Court has reserved its judgment after arguments in the whole matter.

The apex court also heard about a special death certificate for those who died due to corona. The court asked whether it could be said that such a death certificate could be issued to a person who died due to corona. The court also said that humanity is dying and black marketing is going on.
