Former Maharashtra Home Minister Deshmukh's PA and ED arrested his personal secretary


Both were interrogated for hours on corruption charges against Deshmukh

MUMBAI: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's troubles in a corruption case filed by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh continue to escalate after hours of interrogation in a money laundering case last night.

The ED team took Kundan Shinde and Sanjeev Palande into custody yesterday and interrogated them. But both are said to have not cooperated in the investigation. Both are suspected to be involved in corruption cases.

The ED arrested Kundan and Sanjeev last night. He was then medically examined. Both were produced in court today. The court ordered him to be kept in custody till July one.

The ED raided Deshmukh's residences in Mumbai and Nagpur yesterday. The necessary investigation was carried out for about 10 hours. Documents, computers, mobile phones, laptops were inspected by the ED. His family members were also questioned.

On the other hand, a large number of CAPF personnel were deployed outside the Deshmukh's house for security. NCP workers, on the other hand, protested against the ED's action. Earlier, the CBI had interrogated Deshmukh at his residence and office for hours.

POS officer Sachin Waze and others were arrested in connection with the murder of Mansukh Hiran and the discovery of explosives outside the residence of businessman Mukesh Ambani in south Mumbai. In addition, Police Commissioner Parambir Singh was transferred. Later, in a letter to the Chief Minister, Parambir Singh alleged that Deshmukh had set a target of giving Rs 100 crore a month to hotel and bar owners.
