MUMBAI: A DRI officer nabbed a foreign woman at the Mumbai International Airport with cocaine worth Rs 7.5 crore. D. P. S. The case was registered under the Act and arrested.

The court remanded him in judicial custody until July 8. A Zambian woman, Emily Mulinden, has been arrested in connection with an international drug racket.

Mulinde, who was on a flight from Addis Ababa to Mumbai, was apprehended and questioned by a DRI team on suspicion. Further investigation revealed 700 grams of cocaine in a special packet in his purse. It costs about seven and a half lakh rupees.

Someone in Addis Ababa gave him this drug. The parcel was to be handed over to another accused in Mumbai. Mulinde was to be paid for this work.

The woman is said to have been involved in the crime as she was in dire need of money. He is suspected of being involved in an international drug racket. Information of other accused in this crime is being obtained. Recently, drugs were seized from a foreign tourist at the Mumbai airport.
