One shot dead in Shopian, one surrendered

Srinagar: An infiltration attempt was made by terrorists on the LOC in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, which was foiled by the Indian Army. The militants, who tried to infiltrate the Tangdhar area, later fled back to Pakistan and left weapons and explosives on the ground.

The weapons recovered included an AK-47 rifle, a pistol, two hand grenades and heroin worth Rs 30 crore. That means intruders are more likely to be involved in terrorism and drug trafficking. Meanwhile, one militant was shot dead and another surrendered during a military operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Friday.

Security personnel launched a cordon and search operation in the Hajipore area of ​​Shopian after information was received that the terrorists were hiding. During which the terrorists opened fire on the security personnel.

One terrorist was killed in the operation while another was injured and surrendered. His name is Ramzan Dar and he is a resident of Shopian. Meanwhile, India and China agreed on peace on the LAC. Both India and China were ready for the 12th military talks to resolve the ongoing dispute in Ladakh.
