People in Delhi-NCR have been relieved by the sudden heat wave. Delhi and adjoining states were lashed by strong winds from Monday night to Tuesday morning and also received occasional rains. Many parts of Noida near Delhi were lashed by dust storms for several hours and then the entire city was soaked by heavy rains.

Trees on main roads were also uprooted due to strong winds in many parts of Delhi. However, the weather in Delhi-NCR has turned pleasant due to several hours of rain. Along with the drop in temperature, the bubbling heat has also been relieved. The meteorological department has forecast light rain with clouds in the skies of the capital on June 2-3.

The month of May was favorable for Delhiites due to hurricanes and western disturbances. Due to this, the average maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 37.5 degrees Celsius in May. This time May was the coldest in Delhi since 2008. Not only that, Delhi, famous for its extreme heat, did not face a single heat wave this time in May. Loonie is also unlikely in the first week of June, according to a Meteorological Department report.
