New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 70421 new cases of corona have been reported in India. These daily cases are the lowest in the last 74 days. At the same time, another 3921 people have died due to corona in a single day. With this, the total number of Corona cases has reached 2.95 crore. The number of active cases has come down by Rs 10 lakh in the last two months.
Corona has killed 3.74 lakh people in India so far. While active cases are going below 10 lakh for the first time since the peak of the second wave of Corona. Currently, there are only 9.73 lakh active cases in the country, which is 3.30 per cent of the total infections. The recovery rate has also improved to 95.43 per cent.
A total of 1.4 million corona tests were conducted in the country on Sunday, bringing the total to 37.96 crore. So far, 2.81 crore people have recovered by defeating Corona. While the vaccination campaign is in full swing. So far, a total of 25.48 crore doses of vaccine have been given in the country.
The Center has said that in the next three days, the Center will provide 96,000 doses of vaccine to the states and Union Territories. Experts, on the other hand, have identified the Delta Plus variant responsible for the second wave of Corona epidemics in India. However, experts say that the Delta Plus variant is not more worrying.
Alpha and delta variants were found earlier. However, now it has also got the Advanced Delta Plus variant. Covexin vaccine is being manufactured by Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad. The security of the unit has been handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
