New Delhi: Corona virus is most prevalent in the country only through metros. The Indian Institute of Education and Research (IISER) in Pune has mapped the cities in the country where the risk of rapid spread of corona is highest. Delhi was at the forefront of this.

This is followed by cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, etc. IISER has prepared this map after studying 446 cities of the country. The population of these cities is more than one lakh. Apart from the above metros, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai were also included.

Omkar Sadekar of IISER, who was involved in the study, said the movement of people from one place to another during the epidemic period was the most important reason for the spread of the infection.

If we collect data on the daily movement of people, then we can collect accurate information about the spread of infection in the future. By stopping traffic in those areas, the spread of the infection can be stopped, ”said Sachin Jain, a member of IISER's research team.
