Corona big cities spread more in the country: Delhi at the forefront

IISER mapped 446 cities

Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai also responsible for epidemic: Pune ranked 10th

New Delhi: Corona virus is most prevalent in the country only through metros. The Indian Institute of Education and Research (IISER) in Pune has mapped the cities in the country where the risk of rapid spread of corona is highest. Delhi was at the forefront of this.

This is followed by cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, etc. IISER has prepared this map after studying 446 cities of the country. The population of these cities is more than one lakh. Apart from the above metros, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai were also included.

Pune was ranked 10th. Did the organization really try to figure out why Corona spread so fast and more? What was the status of the infection of these earlier diseases ?.

The organization relied on the transportation network of all the cities and the movement of people to prepare the map. The city with the lowest rank was most at risk of spreading the disease.

The transportation systems of the cities included in the study also played an important role in the spread of the corona virus. The institute's chief researcher M.S. According to Santhanam, the spread of the virus depends less on how dangerous it is and where it first spreads.

It depends on the transport equipment of the city concerned. It is through him that the infection spreads to other cities. Omkar Sadekar of IISER, who was involved in the study, said the movement of people from one place to another during the epidemic period was the most important reason for the spread of the infection.

If we collect data on the daily movement of people, then we can collect accurate information about the spread of infection in the future. By stopping traffic in those areas, the spread of the infection can be stopped, ”said Sachin Jain, a member of IISER's research team.
