Corona 94052 new cases and 6 thousand deaths, death toll rises with Bihar revelations

For the third day in a row, less than 1 lakh new cases of corona have been reported in the country. As many as 94,052 new cases of corona were reported in the country on Thursday, bringing the total number of positive cases to 2,91,83,121. Bihar has seen a sharp rise in the death toll to 6,148 in a single day. At the same time, the total death toll of Corona in the country has risen to 3,59,676.

In the last 24 hours, 1,51,367 new corona patients were discharged in the country, bringing the total number of patients recovering to 2,76,55,493. Currently, the total number of active cases in the country is 11,67,952.

The central government has started preparations in view of a possible third wave of Corona. According to a report, Prime Minister Modi may hold a review meeting with the Home Ministry today. The meeting will also be attended by Home Minister Amit Shah and both the Ministers of State for Home Affairs. Apart from that PMO and MHA officials can also join the meeting. The meeting is likely to discuss Corona's preparations to face the Third Wave. At the same time ensuring oxygen supply can be discussed.

Death toll rises in Bihar

The state health department in Bihar on Wednesday conducted a thorough investigation into the death toll from the corona virus, bringing the total death toll from the epidemic to 9,429 from 5,458 on Tuesday. In addition to the 5,478 deaths in the state as of Wednesday, an additional 3,951 other deaths have been added after verification.
