The government has confirmed that this is the first case of death of a person after being vaccinated against corona in the country. A government committee studying the side effects of the corona vaccine has confirmed the first case of death due to anaphylaxis (fatal allergy) after vaccination. The committee has evaluated 21 cases of death due to adverse effects after being vaccinated against corona. According to a report by the National AEFI Committee, a 7-year-old man was vaccinated on March 9, 2021, after which he died of a severe allergy. The government estimates that each dose of the vaccine has a death rate of 7.5.

The chairman of the committee, Dr. N.K. This is the first case of death from anaphylaxis associated with corona vaccination, Arora said. One thing is clear from this incident that it is necessary to wait for 30 minutes at the vaccination center after vaccination. Most anaphylactic reactions occur within half an hour and immediate treatment can save the patient from dying. The committee studied the cases that came up on February 5. Eight cases were registered on March 9 and 18 on March 31.

The report said that as per the data for the first week of April, there were 7.5 deaths per 1 million doses of the vaccine. The number of patients admitted to the hospital in 10 lakh doses is 4.5. The committee said that the death or hospitalization of the patient does not prove that these incidents were due to vaccination. According to the committee, out of the total 21 cases of death, death of patients in 19 cases had nothing to do with vaccination. Seven cases are placed in an indefinite category. Three cases were related to vaccine production. One case was related to anxiety and distraction and two cases were not placed in any category.

Anaphylaxis is a fatal allergy. It should be treated immediately. This is an emergency situation, which spreads rapidly. If treated in time, most people will recover from this unusual allergy. The main symptoms of anaphylaxis are skin rashes, itching, and swelling. Lack of oxygen can cause the skin to turn blue. Dizziness and headaches often occur. There is a wheezing sound in breathing. There is also swelling on the tongue. Sources said that the patient should contact the hospital immediately due to these symptoms of anaphylaxis.
