New Delhi, 1 June 2021 Tuesday
The Central Government has finally canceled the CBSE Std-12 examination to be held this year. This important point has been taken in the meeting held today under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the health of students appearing for board exams is very important to us.
On May 23, a high-level meeting was held with all the education ministers and chief ministers of the state, chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Following the meeting, suggestions were sought from all the states regarding the conduct of the vote test. An application has also been made to the Supreme Court to cancel the board exam. On May 31, the central government had asked the Supreme Court for 2 days.
The CBSE said that like last year, if some students want to appear for the exam, the option will be offered by the CBSE if the situation improves. The government's decision will be a huge relief to about 12 lakh students appearing for CBSE Class 12 exams and 4 lakh students of ICSCA. That is, this year, about 16 lakh 12th standard students will be able to pass without taking the exam.
Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Prakash Javadekar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan and other senior officials were also present at the important meeting chaired by PM Modi today.
