MUMBAI: The global cryptocurrency market witnessed a bullish mood on the first day of the week today. Alan Musk, chairman of Tesla, a world-renowned electric car maker, said in a statement that he was again in favor of Bitcoin, adding that the crypto market was booming today.

According to Alan Musk, if the use of clean energy in the bitcoin mining process increases and such mining stops harming the environment, Bitcoin will be re-accepted by Tesla.

Bitcoin prices jumped 12 to 13 percent to 40 40,000 today, following Alan Musk's statement. Following Bitcoin, the prices of other cryptocurrencies also rose by 5 to 9 per cent today.

However, market players were now keeping a close eye on the US Federal Reserve's meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday on interest rates and bond buying.

Meanwhile, the price of Bitcoin today jumped from 37 37,339 to 3 37,340 to 35 35,721 to 7 35,722, then jumped sharply to a high of હજાર 40,000 from 8 40,815 to 8 40,820 to 5 40,546 to 5 40,547.
