Bihar: Rs 1.19 crore robbery at HDFC Bank in Hajipur, thugs fleeing with weapons

Rs 1.19 crore has been looted from an HDFC Bank branch at Hajipur in Bihar's Vaishali district. It is learned that 5 thugs on the bike carried out the robbery in the morning and after the robbery they fled waving their weapons. The city was shaken after the incident was reported and the police blocked the road and started investigating the accused.

Shortly after the bank opened, thugs broke into the branch and took all the employees hostage at gunpoint. The investigation revealed that a total of 5 thugs had committed the robbery and the police were informed about this after they absconded.

The main door of the bank branch has been closed following this sensational robbery. Media entry has also been banned. The city was cordoned off after the robbery and the culprits are being sought, according to police.

Investigation of CCTV footage

According to the police, information about the appearance of the accused has been obtained through CCTV footage and an investigation has been started based on it. Police expressed confidence that the accused would be reached very soon.
