Antilia case: Former Mumbai police encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma also arrested


New Delhi, June 17, 2021

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested former Mumbai encounter specialist and now Shiv Sena leader Pradeep Sharma in connection with the murder of India's richest businessman Mukesh Ambani's Antilia and the murder of Mansukh Hiren.

His house was raided by the NIA today. Pradeep Sharma was arrested after hours of interrogation. Has been arrested.

The agency is said to have found a lot of evidence in today's raid. A CRPF team was also present along with the officers. It is said that before the murder of Mansukh Hiren, Mumbai police officer Sachin Vaze had a meeting with a man in a dark area. The last location of the number from which Hiren was called was also JB Nagar of Andheri.

Sachin Waje is accused of being the mastermind of the Antilia case. Sachin Waje was arrested on March 15. Waje then made a number of revelations in the interrogation. Former constable Vinayak Shinde, who was pushed, is also considered close to Sharma.

Pradeep Sharma is a 1983 IPS batch officer. He was known as an encounter specialist in Mumbai. He was also accused of bogus encounters with Lakhan Bhaiya of the Chhota Rajan gang. He was suspended by the police in the case. However, the court later acquitted him. He also contested elections on Shiv Sena ticket.

Mansukh Hiren, the original owner of the jeep, was killed on February 25 after a jeep laden with explosives was found outside Mukesh Ambani's Antilia residence and the case has been the subject of discussion across the country ever since.
