A further 46,148 cases of corona, India ahead of the US in vaccination


India delivered 32.36 crore doses of the vaccine in less time than the US

For the first time since the peak of the second wave, the daily death toll has dropped below 1,000, with 979 people dying from corona in 24 hours

New Delhi: India has witnessed 46,148 cases of corona virus in the last 24 hours while 979 more people have died, the lowest in the last 76 days. For the first time since the peak of the second wave of Corona virus, the daily death toll has dropped below 1,000. The total death toll has crossed 3.96 lakh. Similarly, the number of active cases has come down to 5.72 lakh.

In the last 24 hours, 15.70 lakh corona tests were conducted, bringing the total number of tests to 40.63 crore. The daily positivity rate has also come down to 2.94 per cent. For the 21st day in a row, the daily positivity rate has been below five per cent. While the recovery has also declined for the 46th day in a row. So far, 2.93 crore people have recovered by beating the corona.

Vaccination has also been made faster. As a result, India is now ahead of the United States in vaccination. Vaccination in India started on January 16 and a total of 32.36 crore doses have been given so far while the US started vaccination on December 14, 2020 and has given 32.33 crore doses so far. Therefore, India has overtaken the US in terms of vaccination in a short period of time.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also lauded India's vaccination drive, saying that India has surpassed the United States, Britain, France and Italy in terms of vaccination. He thanked everyone and the public who helped with the vaccination campaign. Currently, the second wave of corona virus in India needs to slow down but the threat is still there. As the cases of Delta Plus variant are increasing.

There is talk that the Delta Plus variant may reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine, a claim denied by the central government. Covid Task Force President V.K. Paul said there was no evidence that the effect of the vaccine was less in the Delta Plus variant.

However, the number of cases of the worrying variant of the Corona has risen from 10 per cent in May to 51 per cent now. In West Bengal, on the other hand, Koro's ban has been extended till July 15. While cases of black fungus are also coming up. The total number of black fungus cases in India has increased to 40845.

Corona's indigenous medicine TodayG will be available in the market soon

India's battle against the Koro epidemic continues. To play a decisive role in this fight, DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization - Defense Research and Development Organization) has announced the commercial launch of the drug TodayG.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratory said that Corona's indigenous drug TodayG will be available in the market soon. The DRDO said on June 1 that the drug has been approved for emergency use in the treatment of corona patients.

The drug has since been used only in select hospitals, but will now be sold to private hospitals as well as government ones. Dr. Reddy's Laboratory is pleased to announce the launch of the drug. A bag of medicine will cost Rs 990.
