Addressing the people at his ancestral village Parokh, President Ramnath Kovinde said, "I get a salary of Rs 5 lakh per month out of which Rs 3 lakh is tax deductible." A teacher has more savings than us. However, he later said that what he was saying was that the tax we pay is the key to development.

"Everyone knows this, so I can say that the president is the highest paid employee in the country," he said. But he also pays taxes. We pay Rs 2.75 lakh per month tax. But everyone discusses what is found. But it costs Rs 2.75 lakh per month. How many are left? Our officers get more than what is left. This is what teachers who are sitting get the most.

President Ramnath Kovinde said on Sunday that as an ordinary child of the village, he never thought he would occupy the highest position in the country. "As a normal child, I never dreamed I would have the honor of holding the highest office in the country, but our democratic system has made it a reality," he told a gathering in his hometown of Parunkh village in rural Kanpur district.

Connecting emotionally with the people present at the ceremony, President Kovinde said, "Wherever I am, the fragrance of the village soil and the memories of the people of my village will always remain in my heart." Parunkh village is my motherland from where I have been inspired to serve the country. The homeland is better than heaven. '

"It is this inspiration from the motherland that has taken me from the High Court to the Supreme Court, from the Supreme Court to the Rajya Sabha, from the Rajya Sabha to the Raj Bhavan and from the Raj Bhavan to the Rashtrapati Bhavan," the President said. President Ramnath Kovind on Sunday morning reached his birthplace at Parunkh village in Kanpur rural district where he was received by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
