Who will be the new director of CBI? The three names were discussed at a high level meeting chaired by PM Modi

A decision on who will be the next director of the CBI could be taken soon. There are currently three names running in the race for the position. According to sources, three names have been finalized for the new CBI director. You have to choose one of these. UP Police DG H.C. Awasthi, R. K. Chandra and V.S.K. Includes Kamudi's name. VSK Kamudi is a 1984 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre and Director General of NIA. Apart from this, the name of Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has also come out.

A meeting of the high-level committee was held to decide the name of the CBI director. It was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary (Leader of Opposition) and Chief Justice of India N.V. Including Ramanna.

According to sources, at the meeting, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary alleged that he did not get a chance to express his views in the process of deciding the names.

The post is vacant after the retirement of RK Shukla

Following the retirement of RK Shukla in February, the post of director of the CBI has become vacant. R.K. From Shukla's retirement until the appointment of a full-time chief, the responsibility of head of the CBI has been handed over to CBI Additional Director Praveen Sinha.
