The doors of Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand have been opened today amid the Koro crisis. Baba Kedar's Panchmukhi Chal Vigraha Utsav Dolly left her winter throne place Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath for Kedarnath Dham and reached Kedarnath on Sunday.

Baba Kedar's dolly was taken to Gaurikund by chariot in view of Corona. Dev Sthanam was present along with some employees of the board, Vedpathi and Pujari Dolly. Travel to Kedarnath Dham has been restricted this time due to the Koro crisis.

Before opening Kedarnath Dham, Baba's court was decorated with flowers. Due to the outbreak of the epidemic, no pilgrims or local devotees are allowed to go to Kedarnath at present. At the time of opening the doors, only a limited team of Devasthanam Board performed pooja. Kedarnath is also getting heavy snowfall this time in the month of May.

Earlier on Saturday, the doors of Gangotri, one of the four dhams in Uttarakhand, were opened. Due to the transition of Koro, lockdowns and restrictions have been imposed across the country so that only the priests removed the dolly of Ma Ganga. For the second year in a row the pilgrimage took place without the presence of devotees.
