Underworld don Chhota Rajan infected with corona dies in AIIMS during treatment

Underworld don Chhota Rajan, who contracted corona, died at AIIMS during treatment. Chhota Rajan was infected with corona on April 24 in Tihar Jail. Meanwhile, his condition deteriorated and he was shifted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on April 27 for further treatment.

Rajan was extradited to Bali, Indonesia in 2015. He was lodged in Tihar Jail after being brought to India. In Mumbai, all the cases against him were transferred to the CBI. A special court was also set up to try the case.

According to Tihar Jail sources, Rajan was supposed to be present at the video conferencing for the hearing of a case but she is currently admitted to AIIMS Hospital after being coroned.

Notably, the transmission of corona to the inmates of Tihar Jail has suddenly increased. JNU alumnus Umar Khalid has also contracted corona. He is being treated in jail. Bihar's Bahubali leader Shahbuddin has been shifted to a hospital after his health deteriorated.

A separate ward has been set up at the hospital for infected inmates, prison sources said. But other inmates are also being infected. Now, large-scale corona testing of inmates has also started.
