One more important step has been taken in the ongoing fight against Corona. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) on Thursday approved the trial of Bharat Biotech's covacin on children aged 2 to 18 years. The Subject Expert Committee, which monitors the corona vaccine, had earlier recommended a trial.

It is learned that India will trial Biotech 525 volunteers. It will be a phase-2 and phase-3 clinical trial of covacin to be performed on children aged 2 to 18 years. The first and second doses of the vaccine will be given at 28-day intervals during the trial.

Risk risk to children in the third wave

The second wave of Corona virus is currently raging in India. It has collapsed the country's health system and is wreaking havoc all around. Under these circumstances, experts said, there would be a third wave of corona in India which would have the greatest impact on children.

Following the scientists' warning, the Supreme Court also questioned the central government on preparations for the third wave. Many state governments have already started building separate hospitals for children. However, the highest hopes are on vaccines.
