The lockdown imposed to curb the spread of corona in Delhi has been extended for another week. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has directed that the lockdown, which ends on May 17, be extended for another week to break the chain of Corona transition. He has also written a letter to the central government on the shortage of vaccines.

According to the Chief Minister, the lockdown in Delhi is having a positive effect. Since April 26, the number of new cases has been steadily declining and the rate of infection seems to have been declining for the last 2-3 days. He said the lockdown was used to strengthen health infrastructure and resources.

Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday that there was a lockdown in Delhi till 5:00 am tomorrow. The lockdown has been extended for a week in view of the recovery rate improving in Delhi and the rapid decline in Corona's case. The lockdown has been extended to 5:00 a.m. next Monday.

In the last 24 hours, 6.5 thousand cases of corona have been reported in Delhi and the transition rate fell by 1 per cent to 10 per cent on Saturday. The chief minister had hoped for a further recovery in the next one week. According to him, Delhi is slowly getting back on track and sanctions will remain the same.
