Even before next year's Punjab Assembly elections, the state's politics are heating up. Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday hoisted a black flag over his house in support of the agitation against the agrarian law that has been going on for the last several months. Navjot Singh shared a video on Twitter in which he is waving a flag with his wife.

In the video, Navjot Singh says that the declining income for the last 20-25 years, rising debts have upset the farmers and the farmers of Punjab are having to agitate. Punjab today is simultaneously fighting against 3 agricultural laws. All three of these laws are kicking in the stomachs of farmers, laborers and traders. If these three laws are not withdrawn, Punjab will not be able to re-emerge. Now a black flag has been hoisted over my house. It is to oppose the new laws. This black flag will not fly until all three laws are withdrawn.

Navjot Singh Sidhu is once again in the spotlight ahead of next year's assembly elections. His rebellious attitude has been seen in the Congress for the last few days. Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu have been at loggerheads for some time.

The statements made by Sidhu over the last few days have become a snare for the Punjab government. Due to this, several ministers of the Punjab government had recently demanded disciplinary action against Sidhu at the party level. In a statement, Sidhu said that even party leaders believe that the state bureaucracy is still run by the Badal family. There was an uproar over his statement.
