PM Modi will interact directly with DM on Koro issue, will discuss with 54 district collectors of 10 states

Prime Minister Modi will attend an important meeting on May 20 amid the ongoing Corona transition in the country. It is learned that in this meeting, the Prime Minister will discuss with the district collectors of the districts most affected by Corona. This will be the first time that the Prime Minister will have a direct discussion with the state collectors.

It is learned that Prime Minister Modi will hold discussions with 54 district collectors of 10 states on May 20. These are the districts where most cases of corona have been reported. The first phase of the meeting on May 20 will involve the district collectors of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Odisha, Kerala and Haryana.

The Prime Minister will then also hold discussions with the remaining District Collectors. The meeting will review the status of corona in the districts and discuss ways to encourage vaccination.

Opposition letter to PM

Almost all the major opposition parties had earlier written an open letter to Prime Minister Modi amid the dire crisis of the Koro epidemic in the country and the deteriorating health system. The 12 major opposition parties had written an open letter to Prime Minister Modi.
