Oxygen concentrators and drugs could come in large quantities from China, Chinese airline lifted ban

New Delhi, May 12, 2021, Wednesday

The good news for India, which is battling the Corona transition, comes from China. China's state-run Sichuan Airlines has finally started sending its cargo flights to India. Earlier, Sichuan Airlines was banned from sending flights to India for 15 days due to increasing transit of corona.

Now that the ban has been lifted, large quantities of raw materials, medical equipment and oxygen concentrators from China are expected to be imported into India. This will be a relief for India as India continues to fight the shortage of medical equipment and medicines.

According to the details received, a cargo flight from Chengdu, China had arrived in Bangalore and now a Sichuan Airlines flight will arrive in Chennai. Chengdu is a major source of raw materials for Indian pharmaceutical companies. Earlier, China's Sichuan Airlines had suspended all cargo flights to India for 15 days. The flights were to supply oxygen concentrators and other equipment to India.

The companies appealed to China Airlines to reconsider the decision.
