In a survey, 90 percent said video calling has helped them overcome the loneliness they feel during an epidemic. While 50 per cent said they make videocalls only for the purpose of doing business. The survey was conducted by the video conferencing platform Zoom and Qualitrix Research.

In the survey, 52 per cent said it would be better if they had the opportunity to choose between virtual and physical. This is because combining the two saves time and makes it smoother.

Sameer Raje, Zoom's head and general manager at India, said that India has rapidly assimilated the video call platform. Not only is this a change in technology but it also has to adapt to your behavior.

"We are committed to providing physical security and virtual security to Zoom organizations in their hybrid workplaces at a time when we are moving into a hybrid world where both are possible," said Raje. "We look forward to seeing the role of video in the future."

The report on India said that 72 per cent of video calls are being used in the education sector. Video calls are being used 62 per cent for social events, 59 per cent for events, 58 per cent for entertainment and 50 per cent for business.
