Lalu Yadav gets big relief: CBI gives clean chit in DLF bribery case

There is more news of relief for former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav. It is learned that CBI has given a clean chit to Lalu Yadav in the DLF bribery case. According to further details, the clean chit was not given at present but during the tenure of former director Rishi Kumar Shukla.

In 2018, the CBI registered the case as PE i.e. preliminary investigation but after investigating the case when no strong evidence was found, its file was closed and Lalu Yadav was given a clean chit.

It was alleged in the case that in 2007, the alleged shell company AB Export Pvt. He bought a property worth Rs 5 crore in New Friends Colony, Delhi. This colony was prepared by DLF. Later in 2011, Lalu Yadav's children Tejaswi, Chanda and Ragini bought AB Exports for Rs 4 lakh. In this way, Lalu Yadav allegedly got crores of assets for only Rs 4 lakh. It was later alleged that DLF had delivered the bribe through AB Exports. The bribe was given in return for the New Delhi Railway Station and Bandra Railway Station projects.

Lalu Yadav released on bail

Lalu Yadav was granted bail last month in the Dumka Treasury case related to the fodder scam. Lalu Yadav was sentenced to seven years in prison for illegally withdrawing Rs 3.13 crore from the Dumka treasury.
