Mumbai's Dadar Court has handed down a landmark judgment in a road accident. According to the court, if a road accident occurs due to the negligence of pedestrians, the person driving in it cannot be held responsible.

Magistrate Court Judge Praveen P. "I believe that it is the duty of pedestrians to exercise caution when walking or crossing the road," Deshman said. If an accident occurs due to the negligence of the pedestrians, the driver cannot be found guilty. Judge Deshman has acquitted a 56-year-old business woman in a 5-year-old road accident case.

According to the statement of the prosecution, the case is dated October 20, 2015 at 9:00 AM. A woman was walking to her office that day. When he reached Parsi Agiyari, he was hit by a vehicle coming from behind. This caused the woman to fall to the ground and one of the wheels of the car passed over her toes. The car was driven by a female professional. The woman also parked the car as soon as the accident happened.

The next day the father of the injured woman lodged a police complaint. A few weeks later the injured woman's statement was recorded and the case was filed. Bhoiwada police had filed a chargesheet in the case.

After hearing both parties, the court ruled that sidewalks have been built for pedestrians and roads for vehicles. The driver could not be blamed for the injured woman walking on the road.
