Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of the Indian Farmers' Union, has received death threats over the phone and a ransom has been demanded from him. According to Rakesh Tikait, in addition to insults, he is also being sent pornographic videos on WhatsApp. At the same time, the video is being threatened to go viral if the ransom is not paid.

Ghaziabad Kisan Sangh district in-charge Jai Kumar Malik has lodged a report at Kaushambi police station and police are investigating. The complaint states that Rakesh Tikait received threatening calls from different numbers on his phone.

At the same time, profanity and pornographic videos are being sent on WhatsApp. The complaint alleges that the video was made by tampering with the photo. Many times such calls, messages are ignored but death threats are being made through constant calls. The accused are also demanding Rs 11,000. Pornographic videos sent on WhatsApp are also being threatened to go viral if ransom is not paid.

Based on the complaint, a report has been registered and surveillance has been started to find the culprits by numbers. According to Rakesh Tikait, all the numbers will be made public if the police do not arrest the accused soon.
