Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has made a very important statement on the abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. During an interview, Qureshi described Article 370 as an internal matter of India. Until now, Pakistan has opposed the abolition of Article 370, but 21 months after the abolition of Article 370, Mahmood Qureshi has publicly called it an internal matter of India.

On August 5, 2019, the Central Government repealed Article 370, which gives privileges to Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir was divided into Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and both were made Union Territories. However, Jammu and Kashmir has been made a Union Territory with an assembly while Ladakh has no assembly.

The abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was strongly opposed by Pakistan. Pakistan also raised its voice in the international arena. However, now Pakistan's foreign minister has termed the repeal of Article 370 as an internal matter of India.

In an interview, Mahmood Qureshi said, “The abolition of 370 is an internal issue of India. The Supreme Court is also hearing the issue. He has been challenged. There has been a backlash against all the steps taken in Kashmir. Whether it is in the form of 370 or 35A. A very large group believes that with these steps, Hindustan has lost more and gained less.

According to him, he doesn't give much importance to 370 but he has trouble with 35A. Because it is trying to change the geography and population balance of Kashmir.

"There is no other way but dialogue between the two countries," Qureshi said. Both are nuclear-armed countries. Have their own issues. Which has to be resolved today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. What is the way to solve them? War is not an option. War can be suicide. And if war is not an option then communication is an option. Issues can be resolved by sitting down if communication is an option.
