Covishield vaccine production at full speed, India to arrive in a few days: Adar Poonawala

Adar Poonawala, CEO of Serum Institute, said that he would be returning to India from London in a few days and that the production of Covid Vaccine Covishield at the company's Pune plant was in full swing. According to Poonawala, after returning to India, they will review the production of Kovishield.

It may be mentioned that a few days ago, the news came that Poonawala was going to London. During an interview there, he shocked everyone by saying that he was receiving threats. He said he had been receiving several calls in India for the corona vaccine, receiving threats from influential people.

Poonawala claimed that he was being threatened by the chief ministers of the states, the president of the industry chambers and several influential personalities. They were demanding immediate delivery of the covshield vaccine over the phone. He also hinted that he had come to London with a plan for a vaccine manufacturing area.

Earlier, Adar Poonawala was given Y category protection by the CRPF as per the order of the Union Home Ministry. It has 11 jawans including 1-2 commandos and policemen. They have been provided this security across the country.
