The Yogi government has extended the curfew of corona for 7 days amid increasing corona transition in Uttar Pradesh. The curfew was originally scheduled to last till May 10 but the ban will remain in force in the state till May 17. Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal informed about this. He said the state would continue to impose tougher sanctions. However, the services required during the Corona curfew will continue.

In Uttar Pradesh, the lockdown has been increasing in phases so far. The effect of such sanctions is also being seen which is a good thing. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said the 65,000 drop in active cases of corona in the last one week was a promising sign.

The number of new corona cases in Uttar Pradesh is also steadily declining. Also the recovery rate is getting better. Although the Koro transition is declining in Uttar Pradesh, there is a risk of transition in the villages after the panchayat elections. This is why the government has decided to extend the lockdown.
