Amid the Koro crisis, the Canadian Department of Health has approved the Pfizer vaccine for children between the ages of 12 and 15. Supriya Sharma, chief health adviser at Canada's Department of Health, confirmed this on Wednesday. He said the decision would give the children a chance to live a normal life. Earlier, the vaccine was approved for people 16 years of age or older.

The US Food and Drug Administration may also approve the Pfizer vaccine for young people by next week. Many are preparing to be vaccinated before the school opens next year. The vaccine was already approved for people 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also provided protection to young people and has since been announced.

According to figures released by Pfizer last March, 2,260 volunteers between the ages of 12 and 15 were vaccinated. Not a single case of corona was reported in the 12- to 15-year-olds who were vaccinated compared to the 18-year-olds. Supriya Sharma said that according to the evidence, the vaccine is completely safe for those belonging to the same group. This is the first vaccine approved for children in Canada.

Supriya Sharma said that 1/5 of the total cases of corona were found in children and adolescents. Arranging vaccines for these people was very important in Canada's plan.
