Samajwadi Party leader and MP Azam Khan's health has deteriorated again and he has been kept on oxygen. According to Dr Rakesh Kapoor, medical director of Medanta Hospital, Azam Khan was diagnosed with fibrosis in his lungs after a CT scan. At the same time cavities have also been found so that their oxygen support has been increased today.

Fibrosis is a condition that causes sores and contractions in the lungs. This causes the body not to get the required amount of oxygen so that it is difficult to breathe. This can lead to cardiovascular disorders and other complications.

SP leader Azam Khan's condition is critical and he is being monitored by expert doctors in critical care medicine. While the condition of his son Mohammad Abdullah Khan is stable. However CCM doctors are constantly monitoring them.

On May 1, Azam Khan was registered as a coroner in Sitapur jail. He was later admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow due to ill health and his son has also been admitted to the same hospital.

Azam Khan has been lodged in Sitapur Jail since February 2020. He is facing several charges including illegal possession of land at Rampur and making bogus certificates. Several cases of bogus degrees have also been registered against his son Abdullah and he too was imprisoned along with his father.
