Humans have been plagued by coronaviruses, but now bees are also in trouble. Bees are not only getting annoyed, they are also becoming killers and killing and eating their own pupae. This virus is causing 3 problems in bees. The first is that their wings are destroyed, the second is that their stomachs begin to swell, and the third is that their brains become numb. Bees that are infected with the virus only eat their own pupae. This can be called a kind of cannibalism. A recent study revealed this.

This virus is called deformed wing virus or Trojan horse virus. This is because the virus enters the beehive through a small child (mite). This mite eats pupa first. As soon as the laboring bees find out about it, they eat it to kill the pupa. The Trojan horse virus then enters the body of the bees. This causes their stomach to swell, their wings to be destroyed and their brain to become so lethargic that they cannot make any decisions for the good of their colony.

According to the study, the Trojan horse virus i.e. DWV cannot be said to be an epidemic for the bee population at this time. It is spread in many places and bee colonies have been destroyed in many places. The virus kills bees and eats their population like zombies.

Bees usually kill the larvae by removing them from the capsule and eating them. Experts call this behavior of bees hygienic cannibalism. But when the virus enters the larva, it becomes infected with the worker bees that eat it.
