8 lions infected in Nehru Park, Hyderabad

While corona is being seen all over the country, now wildlife is also flocking to the corona. Eight Asiatic lions at the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad are shocked to see the corona's traits, Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) Park officials said eight lions tested positive in the RT-PCR test, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.

Dr Shirish Upadhyay, director of the Wildlife Research and Training Center (WRTC), said no such report had come out after testing eight tigers and lions for the corona virus at the Bronx Zoo. However, the virus was found in dogs and cats in Hong Kong, he said.

NZP officials decided to test the corona of 12 lions, as the lions showed symptoms of corona virus, including loss of appetite, runny nose and coughing. Out of which 8 corona have been found positive.
