Questions have been raised about the quality of ventilators ordered under PM Care Funds. A large quantity of ventilators given to Punjab from PM care funds last year has fallen into disuse. The reason behind this is the poor quality of the ventilator. It is being said that this ventilator shuts off after working for a while.

Out of 80 ventilators provided at Guru Govid Singh Medical College and Hostel in Faridkot, 71 ventilators are bad. These ventilators were provided by AgVa Healthcare under the PM Care Fund. According to the doctors of the medical college, the quality of this ventilator is poor and it shuts off within 1-2 hours of use.

According to the doctors, the quality of this ventilator sent by the central government cannot be trusted. When these machines are used it suddenly stops working. The quality of this ventilator is very poor. They cannot risk the lives of patients because the machine shuts down.

In the midst of all this, Punjab Chief Secretary Vinnie Mahajan has given permission to hire engineers and technicians to repair the bad ventilator. The state government has also assured immediate provision of 10 new ventilators to the medical college on priority basis.

Of the 250 ventilators sent by the Indian government at a cost of Rs 25 crore last year, some are still in the health department's stores. Some of them started using machines and started having problems. At the same time, there is a shortage of technicians operating ventilators in Punjab.
