In states like Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, about one-third of the vaccine has been wasted.

The figures released by the central government are shocking. Jharkhand has the highest number of vaccine wasted states where 37.3 per cent of the total supply has been wasted. While 30.2 per cent of the vaccine supplied to Chhattisgarh has been wasted. In Tamil Nadu, 15.5 per cent of vaccines have been wasted.

Center accused of conspiracy

The vaccine wasted 10.8 per cent in Jammu and Kashmir and 10.7 per cent in Madhya Pradesh. Top Jharkhand government is angry with the central government over the issue of vaccine waste. The Jharkhand government has termed the vaccine waste as a conspiracy by the central government. The Jharkhand government has given the full number of vaccinations following allegations of vaccine waste.

In this regard, the Health Minister of the Chhattisgarh government, TS Singh Dev, who is number two in the case of vaccine waste, finds this claim ridiculous. According to him, only 1 percent of vaccine waste is coming.
