Workers are going back, will the government deposit money in their bank account? : Rahul Gandhi

New delhi date. 20 April 2021, Tuesday

Following the six-day lockdown imposed in Delhi, workers have resumed migration. Thousands of people were seen returning home last night at Delhi's main ST depot.

With this, Rahul Gandhi has again targeted the Central Government. He said the workers were fleeing again and it was the responsibility of the central government to pay into their bank accounts but it was a question of whether the government holding the people responsible for the transition to Koro would take steps to help the people.

It may be recalled that when the Delhi government imposed the lockdown, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the workers to trust me and not to leave Delhi. This appeal, however, had no effect. People were seen traveling on the roofs of buses if they could not find space in the buses.

Despite a six-day lockdown, workers who were frightened by last year's lockdown did not want to take any risks.
