Voting begins in 5 states, including Bengal, Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan votes in Chennai

Assembly elections are being held in 5 states of the country, including West Bengal. Bengal and Assam are in the third phase of polling while Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu are all in the polls. Long lines of voters have been seen in all the states since early morning and many dignitaries are also exercising their franchise.

With the start of polling in Bengal, the TMC has started accusing voters of harassing them at several polling booths in South 24 Parganas, Howrah. The TMC is making various allegations against the security forces and BJP workers.

Superstar Rajinikanth cast his vote in Chennai early this morning. Apart from that, Kamal Haasan, who became a leader from a superstar, also voted. Kamal Haasan arrived with his daughters Shruti and Akshara to cast their votes. Metro Man E Sridhar voted for this in Kerala.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter to urge voters in all states, especially the youth, to cast their votes in record numbers.
