Farmers across the country are waiting for the eighth installment of the Prime Minister's Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana. The Central Government sends Rs. 6,000 to the account of eligible beneficiary farmers every year under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana. Farmers get this amount in 3 installments. The government is trying to ensure that the needy farmers get the benefit of this scheme.

But along with the farmers in need, there have also become people who have nothing to do with farming. Now action is being taken against such people. Apart from removing the names of such people from the Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana, the amount paid to them is also being recovered.

The government has received complaints that a large number of government employees and well-to-do people are taking advantage of the Prime Minister's Kisan Sanman Nidhi. In addition, income tax paying farmers are also taking advantage of this scheme which does not come under the purview of this scheme.

As a rule, in order to avail the benefits of this scheme, it is necessary to have a farm in the name of the farmer. If the land is in the name of the grandparents, there will be no benefit. A working government employee or a retired employee cannot avail of this scheme. Also registered doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects and their family members cannot avail of this scheme. The farmer cannot avail the benefit of the scheme even if he is doing other work on the registered cultivable land. The scheme is fully funded by the Central Government and each beneficiary gets one installment of Rs. 2,000 during 3 such years.
