Several Supreme Court employees, officials infected with corona, will be heard by video conferencing

The second wave of corona virus is spreading in the country. A number of restrictions, including night curfews, are being enforced in several states. Corona has also made an entry in the country's apex court. Many employees and officials of the Supreme Court are disturbed by the symptoms of Corona and many have tested positive for Corona.

The Supreme Court has a total of more than 3,400 employees. The court had come up with 44 positive cases till Saturday. As Corona's transition continues to grow, all Supreme Court judges will now hear the case at home through video conferencing. The Supreme Court premises, including all court rooms, are being sanitized. Due to this, all the benches will be one hour late from their scheduled time on Monday.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Court informed that data on Corona infections was being collected. People who come in contact with Corona are being traced. The court premises are being sanitized.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had ordered closure of physical hearings in all the district courts in the capital following the growing Koro crisis in Delhi. Following the new order, the Delhi High Court and all district courts in Delhi will hold hearings in virtual mode till April 23.
