Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting at Tamulpur in Assam on Saturday. In his address, he expressed confidence that the people of Assam are with peace and development. He also claimed that his government was committed to the development of Assam and said that the people of Assam did not like those who resorted to violence in the state.

Addressing the people ahead of the final phase of elections, the Prime Minister said that the poll of those who run the mahajuthana has opened and the people of the state will not tolerate those who insult Assam.

Loss from secularism-communism

The Prime Minister said, ‘Whenever we make a plan we make it for everyone. We work hard to extend the benefits of the scheme to all classes of people in every field without any discrimination or bias. There are some misconceptions going on in the country that if we give something to our vote bank by discriminating in the society, by fragmenting the society, unfortunately in the country it is called secularism. But if work is done for all, given to all without discrimination, it is called communal. The game of secularism and communism has hurt the country a lot.

The prime minister said his government was committed to ensuring that no son of the state had to carry a gun. He further said that the NDA government had worked to bring peace in Assam and bring the sons of Assam mothers into the mainstream by taking up arms.

If a person fell ill during the rally, the Prime Minister interrupted his speech and asked the doctor of the medical team accompanying him to help the person.
