Record breaking cases of corona were reported in the country, with more than 80 per cent of infected patients in these 8 states.

Of the 93,249 new cases of corona virus across the country, more than 80 per cent are in eight states. According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health, these states are Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. According to the Ministry of Health, there are 6 lakh 91 thousand 597 active cases of corona in the country, which is 5.54 per cent of the total infected people.

In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 32,688 active cases of corona virus across the country. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Kerala and Punjab together account for 76.41 per cent.

Maharashtra alone has 58.19 per cent active cases in the country. On Saturday, 93,249 new cases of corona virus arrived in India, breaking the record of the last several months. Now the total number of corona infections in the country has increased to 12 crore 85 thousand 509.

Maharashtra-Punjab leads in daily cases

Maharashtra and Punjab are the two states in the country with the highest number of daily cases of corona virus infection in the last fortnight. This information has been obtained from official documents. Documents presented by the Union Ministry of Health at the Cabinet Secretary's meeting with all the States and Union Territories state that the two states have been included in the five states and Union Territories where daily cases are reported to be higher than their previous peak. These states and union territories also include Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat.

Not a single death has been reported in these states due to corona

Amid concerns, there is relief news that there are 14 states and union territories in the country where not a single death has been reported due to the corona virus in the last 24 hours. These states include Odisha, Assam, Puducherry, Ladakh, Daman-Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Lakshadweep, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
