PM Modi arrives in Tamil Nadu, worships at Meenakshi Devi temple in Madurai

Apart from Bengal and Assam, Assembly elections are also being held in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry and all the major political forces are engaged in campaigning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign in Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Friday. For this, Prime Minister Modi reached Tamil Nadu on Thursday evening.

Prime Minister Modi campaigned in Bengal and Assam on Thursday and will address 4 election rallies on Friday. After reaching Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Modi paid obeisance at the famous Meenakshi temple in Madurai. Prime Minister Modi arrived at the Meenakshi Sundareshwar Temple dressed in traditional attire and was given a grand welcome there.

The Prime Minister will address an election rally in Madurai on Friday, which will be attended by other leaders, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister EK Palaniswami. From Madurai, the Prime Minister will travel to Kerala and hold a public meeting at Pathanamthitta. The Prime Minister will then address a public meeting at Kanyakumari at 4:15 p.m.

After the rally in Kanyakumari, the Prime Minister will return to Kerala and address a rally at Thiruvananthapuram at 6.15 pm. Ahead of the Tamil Nadu and Kerala tour, the Prime Minister tweeted congratulating actor Rajinikanth's esteemed grandfather Saheb Phalke on being selected for the award and also shared a photo with the superstar.
