People returning from Kumbh Mela to distribute Corona 'prasad' in their states: Mumbai mayor

Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has demanded that devotees returning from the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Haridwar be quarantined.

He says that people returning from Kumbh Mela can distribute corona in their states as prasad. Realizing this, devotees who go back to Kumbh Mela should quarantine themselves. We are thinking of quarantining people returning to Mumbai.

"Currently, 95 per cent of Mumbaikars are abiding by the ban on corona," he said. I think a complete lockdown is needed given Corona's condition.

Notably, the transition to corona at Kumbh Mela spreads rapidly. The number of people infected in the last 15 days has reached 1700. In the last 24 hours in Mumbai, about 9000 new patients of Corona have come forward.
