The situation is rapidly deteriorating in the country following the second wave of Corona. In the last 24 hours, more than 89,000 corona infections have been detected in India. Also in a single day 714 people have lost their lives due to corona. India ranks third in the world in terms of deaths so far. The country had earlier on September 17 witnessed the highest number of 97,000 new cases in a single day. On November 4, a maximum of 702 people lost their lives due to corona. In the last one day, 69,662 new cases were reported in Brazil and 69,986 in the United States.

According to figures released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, 89,129 infected people were found in the last 24 hours. Of these, 81.42 per cent cases are from 8 states where the condition is most serious. In addition, 44,202 patients have recovered.

At the same time, the total number of infected people in the country has risen to 1,23,92,260 out of which 1,64,110 people have died. While 1,15,69,241 patients have recovered. The number of active patients in the country has risen to 6,58,909 as the number of infections has been increasing for 24 consecutive days which is 5.32 per cent of the total infections. In addition, the recovery rate has come down to 93.36 percent. Earlier on February 12, the lowest number was 1,35,926 active patients. The worst affected states are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, UP, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh, according to the health ministry.
