Mamata instructs to rally with bodies of those killed in firing: BJP alleges

Kolkata, dated 17 April 2021, Saturday

Political scandals are raging in West Bengal regardless of Corona and now the BJP has released an alleged audio clip of Mamata Banerjee alleging that Mamata Banerjee is politicizing corpses.

The BJP alleges that Mamata Banerjee had a telephone conversation with TMC candidate Partha Pratim Rai on the issue of four persons who were killed in a firing by security forces in Cooch Behar during the April 10 polls. Mamata Banerjee had asked the candidate and party leaders to rally with the bodies of those killed.

Malviya, president of the BJP's IT cell, said in an audiotape that Mamata Banerjee was heard saying that the issue should be presented in such a way as to entrap the Bihar police chief and the central security forces.

"Is there any expectation from a chief minister who is trying to create a climate of fear to get a minority vote," Malviya said.

It may be mentioned here that during the fourth phase of polling, there was a dispute between the locals and the security forces in Cooch Behar and in the meantime, the security forces opened fire. In which five people were killed.

On the other hand, the Trinamool Congress has termed the audio clip as bogus and said that no such conversation has taken place. People are being misled by BJP.
