Kejriwal admits Corona's fourth wave is in Delhi, find out what was decided in emergency meeting

New Delhi, 2 April 2021 Friday

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday acknowledged that the fourth wave of Corona was raging in Delhi, but at the same time made it clear that the fourth wave of the Covid-19 epidemic was not as severe as the previous ones and therefore no lockdown was needed in Delhi. "We will review the situation," he said. If necessary, action will be taken only after communication.

Kejriwal said in a press conference that the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi has been increasing rapidly in the last few days. In the last 24 hours, 3,583 new cases have been reported in Delhi. He said the increase in Corona cases is now the fourth wave. We are taking all possible steps to control it, no need to worry. He said there were about 1,700 patients in the ICU in October, but today there are 800 cases. Back then 4000 patients were coming every day and 40 deaths were happening every day, but today 7-8 deaths are happening.

Kejriwal said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is fully aware and is taking all necessary steps to stop the transition. Deaths are falling sharply, with fewer people being admitted to hospitals and ICUs. An emergency meeting was called at Kejriwal's residence on Friday to review the status of the growing cases of Corona in the capital. The meeting was attended by Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain and officials of the concerned departments.

“We are focusing on COVID-19 vaccination,” the CMA said. 71,000 people were vaccinated in Delhi on Thursday. Kejriwal said that now that the corona vaccine has been given for three months, now all hospitals and health centers should be allowed to vaccinate. He said the risk of side effects has now been reduced. He said the emergency meeting discussed issues ranging from increasing the number of beds in the hospital to increasing the number of ambulance, oxygen and ventilator beds in view of the growing number of patients. His plan has been prepared.

"We are monitoring the situation," Kejriwal said. I urge people to wear masks and follow social distance and get vaccinated against covid.
