Renowned journalist, author Fatima R. Zakaria has died at the age of 85. His corona report came positive a few days back and he was later treated at a hospital in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. In compliance with Corona's guidelines, her late husband, Dr. His last rites were performed next to the tomb of Rafiq Zakaria.

Former Minister of Maharashtra and Islamic scholar late Dr. Rafiq Zakaria's wife Fatima Zakaria is currently the editor of a well-known magazine. For the last few years, he has been living in Aurangabad and handling the work of the prestigious Maulana Azad Education Trust (MAET).

The late Dr. Congress leader. MAET was founded in 1963 by Rafiq Zakaria. Fatima Zakaria carried on the legacy of her late husband and replaced this educational institution. He collaborated with foreign educational institutions to make it the best center for teaching.

In 1983, Fatima Zakaria was awarded the Sarojini Naidu Award for Unity in Journalism. He was also awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2006 for his outstanding work in the field of literature and education.
