Farmers will continue agitation even if curfew or lockdown is imposed: Rakesh Tikait

New delhi date. 7 April 2021, Wednesday

Despite the growing transition of corona across the country, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said, "Under no circumstances should the peasant movement be stopped. The government is trying to intimidate us in the name of corona but our movement will continue."

Addressing the farmers in Saharanpur, Rakesh Tikait said that the government should stop intimidating the farmers in the name of Corona. The farmers' movement is not Shaheen Bagh. Even if a curfew is imposed in the country or a lockdown is imposed, the farmers' agitation will continue till November-December.

"In the coming days, I will go to Himachal Pradesh and Bihar to interact with farmers," he said. I was attacked by the BJP in Rajasthan but I have no action to take in this matter.

The peasant movement has been going on for the last four months. Farmers are sitting on the Delhi border. Negotiations with the government have taken place 11 times but to no avail. On the other hand, the movement has come to a standstill as the government is no longer keen on negotiations.
