exit polls: Mamata Banerjee retains power in Bengal, BJP govt in Assam, Puducherry

Exit polls are being declared for Assembly elections in 5 states, including West Bengal, Assam and Tamil Nadu. The last round of elections to be held in 8 phases of Bengal ended on April 29 and now the results are due on May 2. Prior to this, the mood of the public has been known through the exit polls.

The eighth phase of polling was completed today at 11,860 polling stations in Bengal's 35 constituencies. According to the Election Commission, 76.07 per cent polling took place by 5 pm.

According to Times Now and Sea Water exit polls, the TMC is likely to get 158 ​​seats in Bengal, while the BJP is likely to get 115 seats. The Congress-Left is projected to get 22 seats in the exit polls.

According to the Sea Water Survey, out of 294 seats in Bengal, TMC can win 152 to 164 seats, BJP 109 to 121 seats, while Congress can get only 19 to 25 seats.

There is good news for BJP from Puducherry. According to the ABP-C Water Survey, the BJP alliance will win 19 to 23 seats in Puducherry. In the 30-seat Puducherry Assembly, the Congress could win 6 to 10 seats. So, others can win 1 to 2 seats.

According to India Today Axis My India Exit, what is expected to be a big victory in Assam once again, others may get 1 to 4 seats, according to a survey by ABP-C Water, the BJP seems to be regaining power in Assam. Exit polls show BJP losing 58-71 seats out of 126 in the state. So, Congress can win 53 to 66 seats in the tough competition here. Whereas, 5 seats can go to the account of others.
